This grand panda SPECIFICALLY in Newhall is the best Chinese food in SCV! The owners are so welcoming and nice, whether that's walk-in service or placing an order over the phone. Quality food, and gives a family atmosphere. I'd rather support a family business than any other business. Huge fan of the hot and sour soup! Please try it out!
In our search to find good places to grab lunch we rediscovered Grand Panda. It had been several years since we were last there. The place had been remodeled and the décor looked pretty good. What is important was the prices were still ok considering the recent reound og inflation and the serving sizes were good . I really enjoyed the Kung Pao Three Ingredient ($13.25) It had more than a few juicy shrimp with a compliment of chicken and pork. It also had a good level of spice and if you want more heat you simply break open some the hot peppers and sprinkle the seeds to your taste. It was a good version of the meal and the eggroll was crunchy and not greasy. My wife had Mu Shi Pork ($11.55), also a decent sized portion for the cost and tasty. The service was friendly and warm, especially one lady who was so bubbly and upbeat it was impossible not to smile and feel the positive vibes. Hopefully you run into her on a good day if you visit. We will swing by again to try a few more things on the lunch menu.
Fast, friendly, and good service. We drive up to Santa Clarita every so often and enjoy stopping here for a lunch special. Food is always hot and fresh!
This has been a gem of Santa Clarita valley and a family favorite for over 35 years. I grew up with my parents always over ordering here and having to go pickup boxes of food that we would feast on for days- the leftovers I think are better than the day 1! The workers here are so friendly, accommodating and lovely. Beautiful, clean, sit down restaurant great lunch specials, or order family style! We always order the wonton soup, egg flower drop soup, pork or veggie fried rice, noodles, we've ordered all of the beef and chicken dishes on the menu. My family loves the walnut shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, beef and snow peas, beef and peppers, spicy chicken, chicken and eggplant, the bao bao plate etc. there isn't a bad dish! We love the large portions, and how fresh the food is. Yes it is pricey. It's well worth it for the quality to support a local family run restaurant that consistently serves delicious food and they do not cut corners. I'd rather pay for the same portion and quality!! Definitely give this place a try, great for to go, or to come in and dine. 1000|10 Love love love the people and food!!
The food is always fresh. Service is great too. Convenient parking. We always have leftovers, because the food is ample.
My hubby and I moved to the area a little over a year ago, and we wanted to explore a local place. We loved Grand Panda and will definitely be back! We got the dinner special which honestly gives you the most bang for your buck! We even took home leftovers bc it was so much food lol. The service was great and the staff was attentive!
